Purpose

The DermaSweep MD, which can only be used by a medical doctor, resurfaces skin by removing dead layers. This microdermabrasion system can reduce or eliminate fine wrinkles, blackheads and whiteheads, sun-damaged skin, superficial age spots, oily skin, and it can also be used for epidermal peeling of the face, neck, and other parts of the body. Additionally, this medical grade microdermabrasion is used as a preparatory agent to with the Laser 360 skin rejuvenation procedures to more deeply clean the skin so as to allow the lasers to penetrate the skin more effectively and thus facilitate a better outcome for the patient.

Technology

It can deeply infuse products such as hyaluronic acid to hydrate the face or ascorbic acid to help heal acne and/or encourage antioxidant protection.

Non-Surgical Procedure

Your microdermabrasion procedure will involve a vacuum to increase blood circulation in the treated area. The DermaSweep MD Wand, in conjunction with an infusion of topical skin solutions, will remove the epidermal skin, where fine wrinkles, topical skin imperfections, and some sun damage steal your youthful image. By removing the epidermal layer and increasing blood circulation, collagen is stimulated and fibrin forms for a fresh, young appearance.

Treatment Time

Expect to spend 30 to 60 minutes for the procedure. Multiple sessions are required for optimal results.

Effects

Some patients experience at the most some slight redness. Fewer patients may experience some transient swelling and tenderness for a few hours or days. There also exists the possibility of mild discomfort, acne flare up, transient spots of hypo- or hyperpigmentation, bruising, itching and irritation, infection, fever blisters, or, in rare cases, scarring.
