Purpose

Photo-facial IPL treatments reduce unsightly rosacea, age spots, skin texture, photo aging, and sun-damaged skin.

While many professionals contend that photo-facial IPL treatment can also reduce mild acne scars, large pores, dark circles under the eyes, and fine lines and wrinkles, at Solaris Med Spa, we find that lines, wrinkles, and scars may be better treated with fractional pixel and/or portrait PSR.

Non-Surgical Procedure

Photo-facial skin rejuvenation is performed with an intense pulse light (IPL) instrument, which brings to the surface and sloughs off areas of hyper pigmentation. A Zimmer cooler can reduce discomfort during photo-facial IPL treatment by blowing chilled air across the skin.

Effects

Although photo-facial treatment usually involves no recovery time, some sun worshippers with darker skin may find some initial discomfort afterwards. Also, the areas of pigmentation may actually look worse before they slough off and look better. This is part of the process. You should be able to resume normal activities immediately.
