Skin Tightening

With age, the collagen in our skin begins to break down, creating poor tone and less tightness. Large pores and deeper, longer wrinkles settle in, stealing the youthful glow and firm skin tone we once took for granted. The sun’s UV rays, a lack of humidity (especially in dry, arid areas), and a decrease in growth hormone contribute to damaged, loose skin. Smoking, improper dieting, and a little or no exercise only adds to the insult.

Purpose

The Harmony Skin Tightening Laser by Alma Laser offers improved comfort and effectiveness over the older Titan and Thermage lasers. This is especially true with the newly FDA-approved Accent XL by Alma Lasers. The Accent XL is the Rolls Royce of skin tighteners.

Non-Surgical Procedure

Skin tightening lasers heat skin until it reaches 41° to 45° C so that collagen is stimulated, which causes skin to contract. We can glide the handheld Harmony ST hand-piece gently over skin, so treatment is more comfortable than ever. This is an advanced method over other skin tighteners that require the laser to sit and heat the skin at one site before advancing to the next site. The ability of the Alma Skin Tightener and the Accent XL to glide ensures greater comfort and greater distribution of heat to maximize the tightening effect. Results

Since the Harmony Skin Tightening hand-piece glides across skin, patients don't experience the burning sensation common with many skin-tightening lasers. You'll recover quickly with little downtime, if any.
