Lipo-Dissolve with Accent XL Laser Therapy or Traditional Skin Tightenting
For clients with discriminating taste, Solaris Med Spa offers meso-lipo therapy combined with Accent XL laser therapy (or other skin tightening laser therapy) for ultimate results. These synergistic procedures will melt away the dimpled or baggy appearance of cellulite around your eyes, neck, arms, thighs, buttocks, and stomach, leaving you with fluid curves and firm, youthful skin. Meso-lipo therapy involves microinjections, followed by massage and a skin tightening laser therapy session.
Purpose
Lipo-Dissolve is a meso-lipo therapy that destroys fat cells in targeted areas, but it is not intended for general weight loss. At Solaris Med Spa, we incorporate massage to break down fibrous nodules that may surface following Lipo-Dissolve therapy. After massage, a skin tightening procedure with the Accent XL or other laser will tighten collagen and smooth the natural lines of the body.
Ingredients and Technology
Solaris Med Spa prefers Lipo-Dissolve, a trusted name in meso-lipo therapy. Lipo-Dissolve contains phosphatidylcholine (PPC), which is a chemical in human cell membranes, and deoxycholate (DC), which destroys fat cells. Doctors sometimes include other ingredients depending on the patient's unique case.
The Accent XL by Alma Laser offers seven to eight times more power than traditional skin tightening lasers, which promotes fat cell shrinkage and skin tightening in problem areas. When Dr. McWilliams' patients ask for an alternative to liposuction, he recommends Lipo-Dissolve, followed by massage and Accent XL therapy.
Background
In 1952, a French physician named Dr. Pistor invented Mesotherapy for pain control in patients suffering with neurological or rheumatologic pain or for those with athletic injuries. Physicians in the US modified Mesotherapy, creating an effective therapy for cellulite reduction. While some doctors do not categorize Lipo-Dissolve as Mesotherapy, training schools often group Lipo-Dissolve with Mesotherapy because of similarities in application and ingredients.
Non-Surgical Procedure
Lipo-Dissolve is effective for reducing fat beneath the eyes, on the neck, arms, thighs, abdomen, buttocks, and love handles. Multiple microinjections allow Lipo-Dissolve to work just beneath the skin's surface. To maintain optimal patient comfort, we will apply a topical anesthetic and offer a Zimmer cooler during therapy.
After Lipo-Dissolve therapy is complete, a relaxing massage will break up fibrous nodules. Then, a skin tightening session with the powerful Accent XL laser will create shapely lines and firm the skin.
Treatment Time
Lipo-Dissolve therapy takes about and hour, as does an Accent XL or other skin tightening laser session. With combined meso-lipo and skin tightening laser therapy, three to six sessions are expected. However, treatment time will depend upon the patient's unique case.
After Effects and Medical Information
Mild soreness may occur for a few days, but Dr. McWilliams can prescribe medication to minimize discomfort. He may also recommend a comprehensive hormone assessment, because a sluggish thyroid gland, insulin resistance, and/or low testosterone can cause fat deposition.
