Non-Surgical Therapy

The non-invasive treatment of unsightly leg veins is one of the most requested, yet challenging aesthetic procedures. Because of various diameters, depths, and pressures with vessels, treatment not only requires a specialized Nd:Yag laser but often either cold or heat can modalities are employed to shrink large vessels or open smaller vessels, respectively to enable the Nd:Yag laser to more effectively penetrate the unsightly veins. Using a combination of therapies, such as those included on the Harmony™ system, Solaris Med Spa can treat:

• Superficial and deep telangiectasias (venulectasias) and reticular veins (0.1 - 4.0 mm diameter.
• Telangiectatic matting and hemosiderin staining, usually associated with sclerotherapy.

In accordance with the principle of selective photothermolysis, we selectively heat and collapse vessels without damaging surrounding, healthy tissue. Depending on the nature of the vessels, either the Nd:YAG or an AFT treatment head can produce the desired effect. No anesthesia is required. Small compression bandages will be applied after treatment to enhance the closure of the treated veins.

Results

Expect your spider veins to appear darker after treatment, but rest assured, over two to six weeks, they will shrink or disappear completely. Many patients see immediate results. Statistics show that most patients should expect about a 75-percent reduction on the face and a 35-percent reduction on legs.
