How hormone replacement therapy work?
After performing a comprehensive lab study, including hormone assessment, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can be achieved with Soto Pellets. These are bio-identical hormones. That means they are chemically closer or identical to your body’s naturally produced hormones and therefore less likely to produce unwanted side effects. Alternatively, the chemical structure of synthetic hormones is less identical to your body’s hormones and more likely to produce unwanted side effects. The pellets are the size of a rice grain. They are implanted in the hip in a minor surgical procedure that takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes. They hormone pellets slowly dissolve as your body requires over the next 4-5 months.
There are so many weight loss programs available today. What makes yours different?
The weight loss program at Solaris Med Spa is comprehensive in its scope and delivery of service and accountability is heavily pushed. A comprehensive lab panel tells us what hormone deficiencies are contributing to the patient’s weight gain. Indirect calorimetry assessment records how many calories a person needs to sustain and to lose weight. An EKG is performed to determine a patient’s candidacy before starting medication. Diet and exercise counseling are closely examined and followed weekly to help the patient change their lifestyle. We do not push prepackaged foods which unrealistic to many working families. Instead, we push common sense, good eating habits, and daily exercise.
Are the facelift procedures you offer painful?
Both, the Curl Lift (Soft Lift) and the Contour Threadlifts require minor surgery and therefore an anesthetic is used locally. No downtime is expected. In fact, many patients can return to work the next day. These procedures are performed in office in 1-2 hours. In contrast, a facelift performed by a plastic surgeon, would require general anesthesia and several days, if not weeks, of downtime, post-surgical pain and swelling, and patients would have to be admitted to a hospital or surgical center.
I’ve read about the dangers of liposuction. Is your process safe?
We perform Lipodissolve, and not liposuction. There are many more inherent dangers associated with liposuction, primarily excessive bleeding, from the constant back and forth movement of the long, thick cannula that is surgically placed into the body to remove the fat. With lipodissolve, a small, short needle is injected to the subcutaneous fat to deliver many naturally occurring medicines that create lipolysis (fat killing). Although all medical procedures carry some risk, there have no deaths attributed to lipodissolve. The same cannot be said of liposuction.
Can you really remove broken capillaries, age spots, and other blemishes on my skin?
The use of certain lasers in procedures like Photofacial or Laser vein removal are helpful in minimizing and/or removing unwanted pigmentation in the face or legs respectfully. Neither photofacial nor laser vein removal "remove broken capillaries." But, rather, photofacial helps to remove the pigmentation. Laser vein removal helps to collapse smaller leg veins to minimize their appearance on the skin’s surface. The net result in either procedure is more beautiful, even colored skin.
Does insurance cover any of these treatments?
Insurance coverage may be applicable to some lab testing when it comes to hormone testing for weight loss, hormone replacement, or to assess other bodily functions. Insurance may cover some procedures for some conditions. However, the issue with aesthetics typically falls into the category of elective procedures and, therefore, may not be covered. After the client has paid for their procedure, they are welcomed to a copy of bill to submit to their carrier for reimbursement.
What payment options do you accept for your aesthetic services?
Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Care Credit, Unicorn Credit, and health insurance, when applicable.
